Senior Advisor to the UN Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights
Paula Fernandez-Wulff is Senior Advisor to the UN Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights and a Scholar in Residence at NYU Law School’s Center for Human Rights and Global Justice. Prior to joining the poverty mandate, she was a Hauser Fellow and Visiting Assistant Professor of human rights at NYU, a Fulbright-Schuman fellow at Harvard Law School’s Center for Health Law and Policy Innovation, and worked as an international consultant for a variety of academic, non-profit, and civil society organizations conducting research and advocacy on socio-economic rights. She holds a Ph.D. in international law from the University of Louvain (UCLouvain), an M.Sc. in environmental governance from the United Nations University (UNU-IAS), and a double degree in Spanish and French law from Universities Complutense and Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.
